Nikon F3 – First Roll

I pulled the trigger on a Nikon F3 and 50mm f2.0 combo that I had hummed over and about for a long time now.  After the Miranda RE-II I had on loan was returned to its owner, I felt a little lost without a film camera so encouraged by a good friend who also has an F3 I just felt this was a good option to get back into it. I also managed to get a great deal making the return even sweeter.

For me its an experience that is unmatched by any other type of digital photography.

Yes it’s addictive and will probably empty my bank account. What I learnt from this first roll through the F3 is:  Don’t put all your faith in your Mum to finish the roll off trying to take a nice portrait of you because it will be out of focus, twice..

I hope you enjoy the photos, this was basically just a test roll of Fuji 200 to see what the lens could achieve and make sure everything was working alright! I picked up a roll of Fomapan 100 B&W to load up next so looking forward to giving that a go!
