Sculpture In the Gardens

The annual Sculpture In The Gardens is back at the Auckland Botanic Gardens so we went on a little family outing to check them out. It runs from the 29th November till the 6th March 2016. A great place to check out, walk around and enjoy the fresh air, beautiful gardens and sculptures. And its all free!, that is if you persuade your wife that you don’t actually need any of the sculptures in your own garden; with prices ranging from $5,000 to $130k.

There are 20 sculptures in total but we didn’t have time to check them all out, so this was just a taste and a chance to get out side and take the little guy for a stroll. We enjoyed a coffee from the on site cafe under the trees on the beautiful lawn. My favorite sculpture was “Bird Songs” by Chris Moore. A huge gramophone that actually played bird calls.
