Sold my 250 at the end of last year after i completed my work on it, will get pics up of that later..
Picked up a 2004 (first registered 05) ZX-6R Ninja 636cc for a bit more money, and started to take the next step in becoming a human missile.
Got used to the IMMENSE power difference after a few weeks, can easily see why noobs really do need to start out on a 250.
Had the side and front fairing nicely resprayed and small bits fixed up, had some small marks from the previous owner who laid it down, got my seat cowl finally painted and installed at the same time,
Went to work on shortening my Leo Vince Slip on by 4″.. wow what a result, love how it turned out and has a nice deep growl!!
Fitted the new Michelin Power Pures on Friday and just been for a quick ride to scrub them, brilliant so far and certainly finishes the bike off asthetically with some nice fresh rubber!
As you can see from a previous post, i took it to Pukekohe for a quick run on a crispy sunny saturday test day running with the big boys on Ducati 1098s race bikes but went ok just taking it easy and building into it.
I cant wait to get back out there or to Hampton Downs at some stage, have possibly arranged some track time possibly with 2008 NZ 600cc champ sam smith in the next few weeks while he runs in his new R1 superbike in preparation for the 2011 NZSBK Season
